Geoff Ryan is a filmmaker, artist, musician and owner of Spork Productions.

His versatile style and use of mediums stems from a strong belief that the message is most important and everything else must grow from there. Over the past 15 years his career blossomed from a young artist featured in the Portland Art Museum's "Emerging Artists" exhibit to running the international ad campaign for the NYFA, art directing fashion ads for the denim line ACP, building a new branding image for Nautica with the "Navigate Life" campaign concept, and directing the feature length motion picture "Fray".

All these avenues have developed a strong understanding of communication through art and whether working independently or for some of the most reputable agencies like JWT, ByrdBarlage and ThincTank, Geoff can take any message and deliver it in the most memorable and impactful form for the audience.

Even in his teenage years Geoff Ryan was directing short films with a few of them receiving awards in film festivals. Since then he has directed music videos which aired on MTV (back when they still showed music videos), viral and new media for clients like Nautica, NJC and Kipling, as well as more short films with film festival success. Currently, Geoff is in post-production on his first feature length motion picture "Fray".

With a unique and versatile visual style Geoff has shot commercials for Target and Nautica, web videos for a Sports Illustrated "Swimsuit Issue"/Miller Lite promo, branding videos for Ugg and Kipling, fashion editorials for Footwear Plus, as well as short films and music videos. Whether cutting edge HD on green screen and soundstages or vintage and edgy looks with 8mm and innovative lenses Geoff can bring any idea to life.
social media developer
A new direction in Geoff's passion for engaging audiences is the limitless field of social media. Working with Scott Hawley to create the inspiring online video series for Nautica's social media campaign "Ocean 2 Ocean" Geoff directed, edited and composed the music for all of the episodes and the trailer. He also developed the new SAYA social media strategy titled "Gateway" (currently in development) to bring their amazing "real world" youth outreach program into an online community.
editor/post-production
Geoff has been brought in by ByrdBarlage to do post production effects and color work on commercials for The Children's Place, editing and effects consulting on the virtual fashion show for Marc Bouwer and editing, 3D effects, motion graphics and color on web videos for American Eagle. He also does the post-production and editing on the majority of projects he directs and shoots for Nautica, Target, Babies 'R' Us, Kipling and motion pictures.
